This was the first Techno Painting. Following one of the best days of my life.
I was in Berghain for the third time and I’ve met a guy I liked. The combination of chemicals and new love made me step into a new level of freedom.
I was lucky enough to be in the club when Adam Beyer started his set. The electrifying energy in that huge hall was otherworldly.
While watching my hands making fluid motions above my head, with the lights shimmering through them, I encountered a peculiar desire. I wanted to share this amazing feeling.
Since any documentation of inside activities is impossible, I was at a loss with this new impulse. Until a breakthrough thought occurred: I’m a painter! And this is an abstract painting!
There was no doubt in my mind that this is exactly what I should do, in order to express this experience.
The view in front of my eyes was already a very expressive abstract painting, with the darkness, and the artificial fog, and the arms of people jerking up and down. So many angles, so many brush strokes…
I came home, and after recovery, found the below set of Adam Beyer, and finished my dance.
